I walk in, with my board in one hand and shirt in the other. My necklace bounces against my chest as I start to walk to my cabin. Then something catches my attention on the bulletin board. I walk over to it.

So, Destery walks into the Courtyard. It's a regular day, the sun is out, the teenagers and doing random stuff, and she, of course, is reading. She was re-reading Leven Thumps for the fortieth time, yes, she's counting. She could recite most of the book forwards and backwards, she loved it so much. She loved the monsters, the characters, and the adorable image of Leven she had in her head. She looked up, and a singular boy caught her attention. This was odd, as she only had eyes for fictional characters. He was looking at a bulletin board, she never noticed it was there. Way to go, Destery Holmes.

Destery, deciding not to be that much a weirdo, went back to her book. But for some reason, Clover couldn't keep her attention.

I finish looking at the board and look around. Most of the kids were hanging out, talk, messing around, or trying to kill each other. One girl though was reading a book off to the side. Knowing what it's like to be an out cast, I lean my board against the board and walk over. As I walk I pull on my shirt. When I get to her I smile, "Hi" I say.

Destery blinked. "I.. Uhm, hi," she stammered. Come on, don't blow this! "I'm-- I'm Destery," she said, holding a trembling hand out towards him.

I smile and shake her hand. "Hi my name is Trevor" I say "And I don't bite." I grin down at her then decide to site next to her "What are you reading?" I ask pointing at her book.

Destery shows him the cover of her book instead of just telling him. "Leven Thumps and The Gateway to Foo," she said, smiling. "It's my favourite book, haha."

I laugh "That's cool" I say. "Whats it about?" I ask curious. My friend from a surf compition had read it too.

I laugh "Yea that does sound complicated" I say, smiling. This girl wasn't very good with talking. She seemed to like books more than people "How long have you been here?" I ask.

I sigh, and frown "I don't really know." I tell her "I'm not always here, but I usaully pop in once in a while to hang out or if I need a place to stay." I say as my grin returns "But I think I'll stay longer than before this time"

I frown again. "What do you mean?" I ask concerned. Maybe she had some kind of experience here.

Destery shrugged. "I guess, it's a bit loud. And people expect you fight. I don't know if you can tell, but I'm not the fighting type... I'm lover not a fighter!" She laughed a little bit.

Savitri walked into the courtyard, sighing slightly. She had her earbuds in, and she was listening to Black Cat by Mayday Parade. She was definitely not in the mood for people right then.

Of course, going to the courtyard probably wasn't the best place to go, but that didn't really matter to Savitri. She had her earbuds in, she figured those would keep people away. If not, she had a sweet a** powers to fight them off, because, really, the other campers had nothing on her powers. Nothing at all. It was times like these when Savitri really was glad her father was a Hawaiian god. They just had so much more power than the others, which was totally awesome.

With a sigh, Savitri sat down on the side of the fountain in the middle of the courtyard. She got a few looks from other campers, probably because of her odd choices in makeup (especially from the Aphrodite cabin), but that didn't matter to Savitri. The makeup was just part of who she was. Everyone else would just have to deal with that, and if they couldn't, well, too bad. They'd have to figure something out, then. Because Savitri wasn't changing anytime soon.

Closing her eyes, Savitri dipped her hand into the water, humming the tune of the song softly. The music was just a bit too loud, causing everyone else to be able to hear the music. Although it was just at the lever where you could just slightly here it. But the music was loud and clear to Savitri, clearing her mind. 'Close up camera one. The hero sings in this scene. The boy that gets the girl gets to go home where they get married. But stop the tape, the sunset still looks fake to me. The hero looks like he can't breathe. The damsel just left everything.'

Mason wanders in. Why in the world was he here? Mason turned to go back to the Hera cabin, when he saw the girl with the make up. Oh, that was nice. He looked at himself.

Mason had his brown hair all messy. Today, he had woken up on the wrong side of the bed. His clothes were all wrinkled, and didn't look neat. Mason would just change later. What's the use of doing it now? He looked back at the girl.

Mason felt like bugging someone, so he went over. "Hi, I'm Mason! Son of Hera. Nice to meet you, my dear." He smiled. Mason felt a bit evil today. Why? He didn't know.

Mason looked around, a bit bored. He should've brought his ipod or something. He growled and got a pack of crackers out. Swiftly, Mason ate them. Great another why: why was he so hungry? Mason had barely eaten today.
